Cades Cove Buck Shots

This is the fifth blog entry featuring pictures from my family’s trip to Cades Cove, Tennessee on Superbowl Sunday, February 5th 2012.

I’ve been saving these for the last.

I mentioned in a previous blog entry that most of the fields at Cades Cove have small wire fences up. These could be easily crossed but my wife felt that we shouldn’t so we didn’t. We found a large field that had no fences and it was full of Deer. We found a small pull off and started slowly making our way in to the field.

My eight year old daughter was very excited. We followed these deer around for probably twenty minutes! Shooting the entire time.

I’ll start out with my favorite deer picture of the entire trip.

Next I’ll show you a few close up shots of the Ten Point Buck.

Here’s a shot of the Ten Pointer with a couple of Six Pointers and a Spike feeding in the field. There were others scattered around the field too. The ten pointer was the least shy of the bunch.

Here’s one of the closest Six Pointer by himself  and looking regal.

It’s amazing how different these Cades Cove Deer behave toward people than deer in other places. Other deer you find them and you have just a few seconds to get your pictures before they are gone.

As always, thanks for visiting!
