Tufted Titmouse

I have been seeing these little birds since about two weeks after I started putting out Black Oil Sunflower Seeds. If you like watching birds, you gotta get some of those seeds!

Tufted Titmouse, who comes up with these names? Oh well, they are pretty little birds even if their name is rather unfortunate. They are high strung and always moving and twitching and hoping around.

These photos were made at around 7:15am on Sunday, February 26th 2012. It was barely daybreak. I had to bump up the ISO a fair amount in order to allow enough shutter speed to capture the little birds without blurring. As a result, there is some graininess or noise in the full size versions of these pictures.

These birds are related to Carolina Chickadee. Some of those showed up later but they didn’t stay around long enough for me to get a shot.
