Brown-headed Cowbird

The Brown-headed Cowbird is interesting to read about because of it’s brood parasitic breeding behavior. It lays it’s eggs in other birds nests hoping the other bird will raise the young for them. If the other bird does raise the young Cowbird, all is well. If it discards the cowbird egg the cowbird will often come back and ransack the other birds nest. Crazy!
