Chattanooga Waterfront Fountain and John Ross Bridge

Here’s a photograph I made on March 25th 2012 of the fountain that is part of the Chattanooga, Tennessee waterfront. I’m not the first person to make a photo of this fountain with the John Ross – Market Street Bridge in the background. I hope you like my interpretation of the scene.

I used a small Aperture opening and a Neutral Density Filter to try to slow the shutter speed down as much as possible in an effort to  make the fountain look silky. It was such a bright day I was only able to get down to a 1/8th second exposure. Anything slower and the image would have been overexposed. The outcome wasn’t as silky as I was hoping for but I like it anyway.
